The British Shakespeare Company are proud to announce our first television project. We will be casting and directing numerous Shakespeare scenes for an international documentary on William Shakespeare and the authorship debate. Titled Sweet Swan of Avon this will include high quality exerts from his plays and will be shown on international television and a limited cinema release.
We hope that our scenes in this project will raise international awareness of our work, excite people about the work of our National Poet and so draw even more people to experience live Shakespeare across the world.

The British Shakespeare Company are proud to be invited back (20th to 30th June 2007) to the stunning purpose built Havlyst Open Air Theatre in Norway. This is a truly magical and intimate venue that is perfectly suited to the works of William Shakespeare. The theatre stage is an impressive two floor high “espalier” and the stage backdrop and surroundings come alive with beautiful plants in the summer. In the garden there are several fountains, ponds and unique works of art.
In 2006 The British Shakespeare Company sold out at Ramme Gaard in a matter of hours and received both critical acclaim and a standing ovation at each and every performance. Tickets will go on sale early next year…watch this space!
