We are at the close of another season and there are too many people to thank. First and foremost we would like to thank our patron Petter Olson for his continuing support and our audience who’s laughter and applause make all the hard work worthwhile. We were made so welcome in Norway by all at Ramme and by the wonderful response from the crowd. Leeds was a triumph and the most enjoyable one for the company and we hope our audience. Oxford was simply stunning and we thank everyone at Wadham College and look forward to returning next year.

The tour is over and I am catching up with your emails.

Kate Ayre wrote: “I came to see your show last night As You Like It. I didnt want to go but my mum said I would like it and i did!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was not looking forward to it but once I got into it I loved it from then on!!

I am only ten years old and it is the first shakespeare play I have ever been to and I thought it was great! My all time favourite characters were William Reay (the boxer) he was hillariouse and he could make the funniest faces. Matha Swann (Rosalind) she was such a clear speaker and very funny and finally Barrie Palmer (Adam) he was great.

I am certainly coming next year. thank you very much!! Adieu !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Annette C. Salvesen from Drøbak, Norway wrote “This year, I had the pleasure of attending the performances of As You Like It (June 19th) and Henry V (June 29th) at Havlyst Theatre. The reading group, which I am a member of, choose to have the last meeting for the season at Ramme Gaard watching As You Like It. Henry V was watched together with a party of 14.

The setting is unique and your company is equally impressive. The performance is one thing, but whenever I met an actor while strolling in the garden there was always a greeting; eye-contact, a smile or hello. A presence that I value and appreciate.

An open air festival in Norway is somewhat of a high-risque undertaking - we cannot count on sunshine and high temperatures. However, with standard equipment such as woollen underwear, raingear and a woollen blanket, there is no excuse for not attending!

Please extend my gratitude and thanks to the rest of the company. For outstanding performances both on stage and backstage. I hope that I will have the pleasure of seeing you again next summer.”

Bernard Scotson “A quick note to thank you for an excellent season at Leeds but in particular to offer congratulations on Henry V. The production was superb, the acting first class and the whole atmosphere of the play could not have been better. You have all scaled new heights. We are regulars to Kirkstall and look forward to 2008.”

I would like to thank all of our supporters, and ask you to keep visiting the site - we will have news of the 2008 shows in the next few weeks.
